Stephen Penn is the Managing Partner of the 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 Kansas City, Missouri office, where he鈥檚 responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the office and making 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 a great place to build a career. He is focused on earning the trust of leading organizations, the public, and the communities 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 serves.
Stephen has 30 years of audit experience serving a wide range of clients, principally in the financial services industry, including commercial banks and thrifts, broker-dealers, investment companies, stock exchanges, commodities and futures brokerage firms, insurance brokers, insurance companies, finance companies, and credit unions.
Stephen has served in the 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 Kansas City, St. Louis, and Detroit offices.
Professional and industry experience
Stephen has delivered professional audit and attestation services to large public and private clients, and his experience includes internal control and operational matters; registration statements for debt and equity transactions, including initial public offerings; mergers and acquisitions; asset-backed transactions; carve-out audits; and acquisition due diligence.
As a lead audit partner, Stephen has significant experience and interaction with the audit and risk committees of the board of directors, executive management, internal auditors, client regulators, corporate counsel, and other senior stakeholders.
In addition to his client service responsibilities, Stephen served as the leader of Kansas City鈥檚 financial services practice and as a member of the 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 Regional and Community Banking Leadership Team. He has led several development initiatives for 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网, including local 乐鱼（Leyu）体育官网 diversity and employer of choice programs, and has held various quality, alumni relations, and office resource leadership roles.
Stephen was appointed Managing Partner of the Kansas City office in 2019.
