ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø

Datuk Johan Idris is presently the Chairman (Non-Executive) of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø in Malaysia and was previously the Managing Partner from 2014 till 2024.  During his tenure as Managing Partner, he was also a Board member of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø ASPAC, ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø ASPAC Investment, as well as a Council Member of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø International.

He served as the President of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) from 2013 to 2015; and on the review panel for audit licensing. Datuk Johan¡¯s professional association includes the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB), where he lent his expertise as Project Leader in the promulgation of the mineral, oil and gas accounting standards. He currently serves as Council member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and is a Board Member of the Malaysian Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC).

Datuk Johan further extends his counsel as a Board Member of the Capital Market Compensation Fund Corporation by Securities Commission Malaysia and as a Board of Director of the National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia).  He is a University Senate Member since 2014, and Board of Trustee of the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) since 2018. Datuk Johan was an Executive Member of the Financial Stability Executive Committee of Bank Negara Malaysia from 2016 to 2018.

Datuk Johan worked on various complex engagements both locally and globally covering various industries/sectors. His professional experience transcends Malaysia to include the audit and consulting experiences in the USA (1995 ¨C 1997), Indonesia (1999) and the UK (2012).  He had led various corporate exercises including providing assurance services for the only Fortune 500 company in Malaysia. While he was the Managing Partner of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø in Malaysia, ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø achieved numerous accolades including Asia Risk Awards Risk Management Consulting Firm of the Year 2022, Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Company of the Year Award (2017¨C2022), Malaysia's 100 Leading Graduate Employers and the Graduates¡¯ Choice Awards. In recognition of his diversity, inclusion and work life balance advocacy - where he introduced the signature ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Golden Week of a one-week office closure, in 2015 and is still relevant till today, Datuk Johan was awarded Talent Corporation (TalentCorp)¡¯s CEO Champion in 2015.

He is committed to giving back to the community and to the profession by advocating higher quality of education and ensuring relevancy of the teaching curriculum which would promote Malaysia as an educational hub particularly in the fields of accounting and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). He spearheaded the initiative for partners of ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø in Malaysia to commit RM5 million for the ÀÖÓ㣨Leyu£©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Education Trust Fund (ETF) to support deserving Malaysian communities. Datuk Johan enjoys golfing, cross-country road trips and is always in pursuit of a good cup of coffee.
